Feeling real hope, by Colin Tanji

From Colin Tanji, Producer/Director, Recovery Bus:

I have been in film & video production for 26 years and I have never come home from a shoot as emotionally exhausted as I have on these last couple of days of filming the Recovery Bus pilot.  This family is doing, saying & feeling things that they never have before.

At the furthest depths of my imagination I can’t dream of what they must be going through with this process.

But, my job is to observe and keep the cameras rolling.  I can’t tell you what they are feeling… but, I can tell you what I’m feeling…  I am feeling real hope.

And I believe this family, which was already a loving family before we even walked in, has grown even more and has so much to look forward too!

Colin doing a fantastic job, as always.

  1. Colin,

Thank you for your impactful and heart felt encouraging words. Not only am I grateful for this entire experience (as challenging and painful as it was … facing and overcoming fears, etc. and rejoicing in freedom & victory) and all that God did in our hearts over the four days of taping but . . . it meant so much to me that someone (in this case you) saw that yes, we were a loving family before the recovery bus arrived. Some had just gotten buried so deep from all the grief and heartache we’ve experienced and didn’t know it was there or how to work through it. Praise God for the many breakthroughs and healings, putting us back on the recovery path, changing a few tires and using some new tools, and looking forward to much much more. “With God, all things are possible” Matt 19:26

Thanks to the entire Recovery Bus team (including all the prayer warriors) too. Keep praying as coming down the mountain continues to be tough so we need to persevere.
But … now we have a full tank of hope and God’s love, which concours all (especially fear), behind the Recovery Bus wheel, steering us to His victorious finish line. Needless to say, there is plenty of room on the Recovery Bus so all who want to join us, break free and heal, come aboard. We are praying for you too!

    Blessings & Hugs,

    Dodee
(“1st family/lady of The Recovery Bus”)

  2. I’m really looking forward to seeing some live footage. I’ve been hearing about this show on facebook. I can’t wait to see what you are really talking about.
